2013 HSE Lux: Nav screen showing rear view camera driving!
Odd behaviour on Shndah afternoon when after programming an address in Sat Nav and switching to Nav view the split Nav screen was showing the reversing camera whilst driving forward.
Kids found it highly entertaining and made me feel motion sick!
Switched Media completely off whilst driving and back on to no avail.
Had to pull over and completely switch car off and on again (Windows?!) to cure.
Hasn't done it again but wondered if anyone had seen this?
Might be circumstantial bit the video quality on reversing camera seems to be less-than-perfect at the moment with it often looking white and over-exposed.
Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

It's never happened on mine, so that's a strange one. Probably a comms error, but if you can get the codes read, then that might tell you more.
With regards to the screen being overexposed, there's a TSB out for that one and it cured mine D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

Perhaps while programming the Nav for the journey, you pressed the secret hidden buttons that activate the rear view camera. Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Thanks for the suggestions gents. Car is booked in for the end of the month so will ask them to check the s/w on the camera.
The wife actually set the Sat Nav on said journey so she may have accidentally activated the hidden feature. (Would be good to know this also... )

Here you go:
From the Home menu
Press and hold the Middle of the top Grey Bar at the top of the screen for 6 Seconds
Then let go and Press and hold the text to the left of it that says Home
Up will pop a PIN number box
753 enter and you're in
Press Video Input Test button
Press Rear View/Proximity Camera button
Camera On.
If this is useful, print it off and keep it with your manual in the car. Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

My HSE MY2010 sometimes does this - appears to be a slight glitch when I've been in reverse, start going forward and it fails to switch off as I speed up. If I select something else, such as audio, then the screen switches as requested and the rear view camera doesn't appear again.MY2010 D4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornaway grey
