2012 vs 2013 HSE Audio

Are the number of speakers you get in the base harman Kardan system the same between 2012 and 2013 audio systems ? And do the reverse camera guidance lines move with the steering wheel position in the MY13 as they don't with MY12......

Cheers

There are zero Harman Kardon speakers in the 2013 HSE, only Meridian. The standard reversing camera has fixed lines.

i've been looking at the this car

http://www.perrys.co.uk/land-rover-discove...4-22692415

Door speaker grills have Harman Kardan rather than Meridian on one of the interior pics.

Have checked the VIN in topix and its a MY13 car..... maybe it was the HSE Lux that you get the meridian?

I don't think thats correct Rob, mine is 2013 HSE lux, and has H&K speakers. My reversing lines do move with the steering. I have surround cams.

I thought the Meridian system came in with 2015 model year?

You are probably right about the speaker year-change, but the lines are fixed on the regular HSE reversing camera.

thanks Guys.

So it seems the guidance lines are fixed unless you have surround view, hopefully they can be turned off as the Wife found them confusing when trying to reverse park during a test drive.

Gareth , I assume you have the logic 7 HK speaker system as detailed here?

Yes thats correct.

I would urge you and your wife to persevere with the active reverse-cam guidance, as once you get used to it, its extremely useful for reverse parking.

We have the same system on our Jag, and with the very poor rear vision it has, is a godsend Thumbs Up
