I guess I'm going to be the odd one out, but I generally hate most cars when I see them as artists impressions.....
But the new FFRR looks stunning IMHO 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I did when i first saw it in autocar .. but over the last few days as it has lied on the coffee table I've kind of gone off it.... looks too similar to FL2 Marker sketches and Range Stormer concept.... great in early 2000's a bit old hat for 2012+.
I agree though that the final car will probably look quite a lot different to these sketches....
in terms of design sketches ..... early D3 ones were fantastic.... wished mine looked like that...Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I followed the Autocar article link that said "See the lightweight Range Rover artist's impression" and this is the picture that followed:
I rather like it.

I saw that dodgy link too - as for the D4/D5 - I did have a artists impression of one a couple of years ago but can't find it anymore was still obviously a DiscoSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Now Derek you KNOW theres two or three perfectly serviceable curry hooks in the D3 - actually theres a thought - does the D4 have the same lower glove box hook(s) as the D3? Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
Do RRS drivers eat a simple "curry"...? Doesn't sound fancy enough...The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

I'm sure they would enjoy an exotic mix of seasoned chicken baked in an oven served over a bed of aromatic basmati rice dressed with a spicy sauce

Hi NJF,
I think that you'll find that the picture is of a Citroen.

Shame the D4 is not an alloy frame as it was supposed to be, its just an increment over the D3, for LR to survive they need some real weight savings and emissions improvements - see competition for examples.
Can't wait to see what new Defender looks like, just because its going to upset just about everyone in one way or other!!!

2 and a little bit tonnes, wont be as stable towing or as effective when ramming snow drifts. as a hybrid should have lots of torque at low revs. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song
