Thats it then. I had a test drive in a 2014 one, but then bought a 2012 one. Guess that is why I don't see it.

Here are a couple of photos I found in the gallery

If you get in touch with Dan at Duckworths or Brad @ Yeovil parts they are forum sponsors and should be able to sort you out Thumbs Up

There have been quite a few group buys for the fridges in the past so there are lost of threads already in the forum about people fitting them.

Thanks a lot for that info, and I should make better use of the search function! sorry.

Is it possible to have the car coded to drop to access height when you turn it off? Is this a bad idea for some reason I am not considering?

I'm not aware of anything that can be changed in the vehicle ccf file to make it drop to access height on switch off, I think most people just press the switch. Dropping to access height when you stop isn't really a bad thing, it puts a bit more strain on the compressor but it will handle it OK Thumbs Up

I was thinking of just the wear and tear, especially on just short stops - guess using the button allows you to press it when you know you will stopped for an appropriate length of time.

FBH & Timed Climate:

So I have tried to use the timed climate (FBH) a few times, and not found it has worked. Yesterday I tested it whilst I had some time, and I got the "Check fuel/battery" message. Car is fuel, so I am guessing battery. Would it just need a good run to get some charge to get this sorted, or should I take it back to the dealer to get it checked?

Also, what are the manual heat/vent soft keys, and how do they become active (they are greyed out).

I did try to search these topics, but not really got a response that helped me. If I have missed something that covers this is more details, please feel free to point me in that direction!

Cheers all, wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Charge the battery first .

Greyed out buttons

Turn car off .. Then press the radio on / off button .. They will then be become active .

When the car is on / running there is no use for the buttons as you can use the normal heating buttons

Thanks Wiggs, I will check that out. So the manual heat button uses the FBH to warm the car when it is off (just does not use the timer).

Would the battery charge on a long run, or does it need a dedicated charger? Car is used daily (albeit short hops), but I did a decent 30 minute motorway run yesterday.

My D3 needs a really long run to fully charge the battery. I recall a thread mentioning something like 8 hours. Can't even manage that on a 450 mile run to Glasgow.

Get a C-Tek smart battery charger/conditioner and do it through the tow electrics if you have them.

Thanks, will look into a C-Tek.

Do you guys plug them in all the time? Seems a bit of a PITA for a daily driver.

Or do you just need to do it once a week say?

I have a MY14 and do mostly short hops with longer ones once or twice a week. I also have a BLackvue.

Generally I can manage without recharging, but once a month-ish I need to get the CTEK out. Modern vehicles (I don't think the Disco is unique in this regard) have so much onboard that trashes the battery and manufacturers haven't faced up to the need to fit bigger/better ones ... Rolling Eyes

Cheers all.

With ignition off, the manual heat/vent buttons did become active, and fans started for a few seconds before they cut out. Buttons now remain greyed out, so i guess battery charge level is very low.
