Hi all, I'm more than delighted after picking up my new to me 2012 GS last Friday having previously owned a few D3s, the difference is unbelievable in comfort, performance and refinement!
Can anyone help me with what the voice control button on the steering wheel does on this GS model, nothing seems to happen when I push or hold this button. Is it a case of having no functionality due to the fact I only have the basic screen and not the touch screen?
Cheers
Garry

Won't do anything if you only have the basic screen.
Land Rover rationalised the number of steering wheels on the D4, so the button is there but it has no function. TD4 Freelader ES

If I may ask another newbie D4 question please, does the radio need to be switched on in order to receive an incoming telephone call using the DTI?

Yes! Unfortunately, but you can turn the volume of the radio down and still receive calls at an alternative volume Justin
