It's times like these I'm glad I have a 6 year old motor. Can use real mechanics who do a good job & don't feel like I'm being ripped off. Very Happy

I'm just wondering, I don't know the answer to this, but does all the paperwork get included in the time charged for? If it doesn't and you have blackvue footage showing no work then surely it has to be worth challenging them on it?

That is why I preferred going to Strathearn and bugging disco_mikey, I knew what he was doing to my car as I stood right beside him most of the time Whistle Whistle

LR state that a service should take x amount of hours, and that is the maximum time a dealer can charge for said service. If the technician works his Censored off, and does it in half the time, a main dealer will still charge the full amount. It helps the dealership figures, and also makes the technician look more productive/efficient to his bosses.
The paperwork I had to do did not take anymore than 5 mins or so...

Probably the main reason why most dealers won't allow you into the workshop Whistle
