2010MY Noisey Xenon on Switching off engine. |
|
This is really wierd, but I've now track the noise down to the RH Xenon headlamp, which has active cornering aswell. Basically, park up, switch off and lockup the car and you can clearly hear some loud mechanical back and forth movement in the headlamp unit for a good 30+seconds after locking up.
The LH unit can also be heard but very very faint ie you have to put your ear on the unit, whereas the RH one can be heard when stood behind the car It's not that loud all the time but quite often.
Any ideas? LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Nothing to worry about my motor does that on the odd occasion, just the truck settling down some components is what the mechanic told me.

As it's not done it in the near six years I've had her and now it's pretty much every day I'd say something has happened and I'd like to know what before it goes pop out of warranty direct cover, which expires January. Looks like I'll have to take it apart or take to the dealers LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.
