Dan, you need to speak to "The Large One" aka Nick and Yeovil, his details are in a sticky in the buy/sell forum, Yeovil are a dealer, but with good prices for forum members.
He sent me a price already, it was *very* competitive! Doubt you can buy (legit copy) cheaper anywhere else.

Hi Wiggs,
Got a SE V8, standard satnav. I imported (resident in South Africa) a Faultmate MSV2 Extreme with single VIN access and am up and running (sort of, too busy for REAL work). Can I do the change to my satnav to include 4x4 and compass mode myself? I did roughly 5000 miles through Namibia and Botswana this month with no use for the satnav. Had to invest in a Garmin unit with Track4Africa etc. It will be nice to have the 4x4 mode and compass working.
Thanks Mate Live Life, do Africa!

Don't suppose anyone would mind calling up the area around the junction of the A20 (London Road) and A228 in Leybourne, Kent would they? 08 disc doesn't have the road that was built in 2007 on it (A228 bypass around Leybourne). Seems half of Kent has been built in the last 3 years judging by the amount of times the satnav shows me in a field. I wish I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Howdy Wiggs,
Pardon the long delay - African travels taking care of free time. 8)
I have done some work re faultfinding, resetting codes etc. I found stax of codes from pre-delivery tests that cannot be reset, not that it causes any probs, but is visible. I bought the FM for the same reason you did, buying peace of mind when doing overland trips. I mentioned previously that the complete exhaust system was replaced with a custom twin pipe system minus cats. They installed 'mini' cats to trick the ECU, but I do see fault codes from time to time. The sound from the exhaust is worth the effort though (hence the name Growler). I noticed that the ride heights can be individually set, meaning the back can be lifted (to what extend I am not sure). It should take care of the slight sagging when fully laden.
One thing I am having problems with is the low speed the suspension resets to normal height. When we drive in dunes we need momentum, and the low speed is often not enough, bottoming out when least needed (my stuck D3 is probably plastered all over Cruiser sites! ). I have seen something on this in the forum, and understand that mechanical failure could be caused if this is increased to 35 / 40 mph, but it is seriously needed. What are the chances of FM allowing this to be set, even with pre-determined parameters Live Life, do Africa!

Growler, search the forum but it was my understanding you could make "standard" height higher by bending or replacing/shortening the sensor rods that the D3 uses to measure the height of the vehicle, effectively making standard height offroad height for example. Dangerous on road of course, but in your application and reset before road use etc.
Advice offered from memory, real life may very from my recollection

TallPaul, quite right. Problem on road is that I have to drive in excess of a 1000 miles from SA to Namibia or Botswana before I come close to off road conditions. It will be very dangerous for me to extend the height mechanically (permanent), especially taken into account the loads involved, making the car very unstable. I would have preferred to set the height electronically, and reset it back to standard when done. Live Life, do Africa!

Yes you can set it via the faultmate ..obviously you need a laptop connected . It will allow you to change the heights (only within the specific tollorences ) ..so you could just add 15mm to the normal road height for example .
Always store your original settings first though . G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
