Okay, I know there has been extensive debates, but I can't find the definite answer to my question.

If I upgrade to a 2008/9 disc, will it enable destination entry on the move, or do I need to spend even more money on a visit to the stealer for a software patch as well.

£100 for disc , same again for dealer, I could buy a new TOM TOM!!

Moan over.

Car is great.

Does it matter? It'll still take you off a motorway, round the junction roundabout and back on the same motorway from time to time.... Shocked

I'm pretty sure it woiuld matter, I regularly change destination on the move, it woiuld be a real PITA to have to stop each time. Thankfully, I have the MY07 which has it already Mr. Green

I noticed last week that the Censored wanted me to NOT take the direct bypass slip at Lymm island when coming off the M56 onto the A556 (headed for M6 and Birmingham) - stupid machine Rolling Eyes

I was driving in Austria, it told me to get off the highway and continue on smaller roads I first did and then looked at the map. I didn't understand why only that TMC showed that the Highway was closed. I didn't believe so drove back to the highway and continued. At the next exit it wanted to take a smaller road again and I didn't offcourse. With the 3rd exit it wanted to send me off the highway again. But before that I was in a traffic jam and saw a lot off blue lights flashing on the next hill. It toke me about half an hour to get to the next exit and got in another traffic jam on the smaller road.
Looking at the map again, now I hat time, I should have taken the first exit, that was only a small detour to another highway so that was probably a lot better.

Next time I obey Miss Navigation.
