My turbocharger has failed and I am looking to purchase a new one.
Am looking for the OEM. Any ideas on which brand is OEM.

Is it true that a new turbo needs to be calibrated? I’ve been told this by two different garages now..?

no.
Maybe when actuator fitted to turbo, cal is required

I was told this was the reason not to fit a recon turbo (I think you can get some with pretty long warranty’s 2 years) but that these cant be calibrated..?

When I had the D3 the garage I bought it from had fitted new EGR valves and a Re con Turbo and didn't have any problems with fitting it.
