2007 recall
I've just been on the gov.uk website and discovered a LR recall for 2007 D3 issued 22/01/2021. I state 2007 because that is my reg, the recall probably refers to a number of years.
Anyone have an idea what this is for?
I'll contact my local LR dealer and see what they have to say!!! 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

Probably the PO17 recall?
Mine was done in 2010 and now it's failed.
So having a tiff with LR over it.

Actually, it was the GOV.UK website that stated that the recall was issued 22/01/2021. Two days ago, but many thanks for the replies folks.
Brake servo, eh? The GOV.UK statement referred to my particular D3 via reg No.
I'm going to broach the subject with the local dealer monday. See what they say.2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

Tbh. It is 11 years old, that part / mod / or what ever.... seems impossible to me that there is an endless warranty on Land Rovers....or their parts or even mods/recalls on a car from even older...07?. these things are old now... repairs who did last 10years, well were reasonably good repairs i think.
They (old cars) require work some times.... don’t want that? Buy new or very young..within (factory) warranty limits..
Maybe you are lucky with LR... but I wouldn’t even count on it...
Sorry... just my opinion...Best regards
Harold

It’s a safety issue.
They did mine last year
Not sure they will do it twice these days

They have said they will contribute towards the cost, but won't tell me much more until their mechanics have confirmed oil in the servo.
I was thinking along the lines that if it's a design fault which has resulted in a safety recall, and it was fixed with a work around, surely if the problem arises again it should be rectified again? Well that is what I put in my email to the CEO.D3 SE 2007 - My new problem child

I contacted my nearest dealer and the young lady I spoke to didn't have any details, but wanted to book me in regardless so that the workshop could make a decision.
I may be being a bit silly, but I don't want a main dealer faffing with the old girl unless I know beforehand exactly what they intended doing to her.
Wary? Me? My local Indy has all the necessary electronic diagnostic equipment and has kept the old girl singing along quite satisfactorily. I have spent a fair bit of dosh with him so a little more won't hurt! Too much!!
Many thanks for your replies. 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

I can not imagine that if the work arround /repair works ok for 10 years... on a 14 year old motor, it should be repaired at their cost... just thinking... how long should such repair warranty be? 10 years,15? 20?
It can not be endless i think... no brand does it endless... i think...Best regards

I really don't know the answer Harold 😕 I was just thinking that a safety fix should stay a safety fix? I do agree on your point with warranty and longevity on all other parts though.D3 SE 2007 - My new problem child

While it’s Volvo - the recall at hand is related to seat belts and particularly that they’re not opened - they’re going globally through vehicles manufactured 2006-2019. Around 2.1 million vehicles in total. So, some do care.

You have come into possession of a 14-year-old motor. The recall work was declared in 2010. Prove who has touched it since? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
