Calendar - Photo Contest Gallery is Up!
Okay gents, I have created a private gallery for you all to upload your favored images. These images will be voted on by the entire group, and the best 13 will be made into a calendar available to all through the Disco3 Forum webstore.
Instructions to upload:
Seems the best way to do this is via email! Your photo will go to a special gallery, and then I will move them into the Photo Contest gallery manually.
Steps to email the photo entries (one email per photo I think):
1. Address your email to [email protected].
2. Type your password into the subject line: disco3
3. Type the photo's caption into the body of the email (optional).
How to Rank a photo (popularity):
PhotoRank = popularity
PhotoRank You can increase a photo's rank by moving your mouse over it and clicking the thumbs-up symbol that appears. You can cast one thumbs-up vote per photo.
High PhotoRank And you can rate a photo or gallery with stars when you leave a comment.
That's it!
Cheers,
Nathan Woods

Nope. Upload to your hearts content. By default, the gallery is set up to only display a maximum of 800xwhatever, and it does it's own compression and resizing (seems to be a pretty good alogrithm though). The higher res versions remain on the server and are availlable for "purchase" for ordering prints. Since this is for selection only, and not really for printing, uploading a 3500x2400 pixel image doesn't seem warrented. But yes, you can do it if you prefer.

Next to the gallery title is a little padlock icon, suggesting the gallery is locked (at least for the login we are trying). I suspect if you solve that, the option to upload will appear.

There is a way for you to upload, under a Guest membership, but right now, it gives you the keys to ALL of my galleries, which is not quite what i am trying to do!
It's only been about 6 hours (middle of the night) since I set this up. SmugMug has not had the opportunity to respond yet. They will sometime today, within 4 or 5 hours of this post I would expect.
