Have gone thru engine compartment with an experienced disel fitter mate, ( currently working on scanias) and we spotted nothing out of order
yet he has noticed the drop in performance compared to the 2005 , and that after only driving it occasionally
back to the books i think
or else #just accept it Big Cry
 Nine-tenths of wisdom is being wise in time.

Also appears 9/10 of stopping is stopping in time

Is it possible to get the car on a Dyno and that will tell you what the car is actually puting out. Of course it would need to be a four wheel drive one.

Blackbetty, did your mate actually do a pressure test like my last post? My reading of the net (yeah I know, armchair expert Sad ) suggests it's the only way to be sure as visual inspections are unlikely to find the majority of leaks.

Black smoke ... loss of power...

Me thinks one of your EGR's is playing up? Diagnostic check will confirm mine did the same and I had it replaced under TESCO warranty. Perfect now with no smoke screen under throttle.
 s/s side protection bars, s/s front bumper protector, rear DVD's, Ebony leathered up, harmon ipod dock, remapped & still draining my wallet!!!
