2005 D3 V8 4.4L HSE
Afternoon all,
I have only had my D3 a short while, but what a car - I am really excited for family trips and camping with her. In the recent hot weather it has been blissful with the super effective air-con and sun roof, like wafting along in a cool, breezy greenhouse!
Here she is, the Queen of Ikea (unless there were any other landies in that day )

What's next...
* Hopefully a bring-your-own car off road driving experience with LR up near Perth (the combined Christmas and birthday prezzie hint has been dropped...)
* Ongoing: (i) Get to know the ins and outs (already had a slight fuel hiccup (turned out to be a bad batch), thanks kajtzu for the help on that thread!)), (ii) ask some really basic questions on here and (iii) make myself familiar with the maintenance items (not sure if there's any portable ramps anyone recommends for oil changes and the like?)
* Future: (i) parking sensors (appear to have been disconnected at the fuse, so need to look into that) & reversing camera and (ii) camping stuff (roof rack, boxes, auxiliary battery (or perhaps a Jackery or similar), 12v fridge, 12v shower (will post a separate query about this but I'm hoping I can run a water heater off the aux battery/Jackery rather than use gas) and then sleeping arrangements (in order to maximize headroom am thinking of building a storage shelf above the end of the sleeping area rather than raising the whole area on a platform, and then store everything else on the roof).
Exciting times ahead - cheers!

I have the same colour, engine, rims and specs as yours. What is the mileage and production year on your LR3??

Snap!
It's 2004 actually having checked the paperwork prompted by your question odd, the VIN reader said 2005, but maybe it doesn't recognise an earlier build date.
75k miles, so barely worn in by all accounts!

@LT - spent 2 days cleaning her so she's looking awesome
Does anyone know:
A) what this plug might be for? It's on the front right of the bumper. Nothing to do with the winch as far as I can see.
B) the best way to waterproof it - I was hoping there would be a rubber blanking cap or something I could buy, but can't find anything online.

Snap looks just like mine, that's looking good.
Sorry can't help on the what's this for question, but a small plastic bag and tape might be good to protect, once you clean the contacts off. A real answer will be along in a minute or 2LR3 Discovery 3 HSE Tonga Green 2005 Petrol V8 186K miles - Project

@pcjags - excellent taste sir I'm wondering now if it's for the front parking sensors (which don't work), will have to investigate further this weekend.

@ronp - cheers! I'm still in the 'it's all I talk about' phase (much to my other half's dismay ).
