Fantastic photo of the D3 and D4 together - the D4 doesn't look so posh with a winch, sump guard and MTRs - like it Like it a lot!06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

The V8 petrol today was!!
As an aside, hairdresser or not, the new RRS S/C is really some beast. The journo's today were doing the 0-100-0 and it's as good as the Utube clip. Spoke with the suspension chap who has sorted the Dynamic Stability for it and it's all new and very different. It's faster round the Nurburgburg ring than a Cayenne Turbo! Only the ML65 AMG beats it. Ken, you need one in stock 8)
The D4 ride & handling is also very much improved. It's most definately not just a facelift.
I'm still not convinced about the grill...personal choice I suppose. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Combined with the right colour I think it looks nice. Here is a stornoway from auto express' recent D4 review. I wonder how it'd look on the alaska white. The more I see it the more I like it!

D3's classic grill make the car look more muscular I suppose. Maybe there will be a conversion kit in the near future.

Looks great, but the sump guard looks (in the pic at least) a bit of a bodge and not fitted as flushly as the D3 one... or maybe they are prototype sump guards ??
Also, looks like the front valence spats have been removed Wonder why

grill looks better with the winch, however it is very fussy for what was once a very "clean" shapeend of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

probably because the winch takes your eyes away from the grill...? The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
