2 Stroke Oil question
WARNING - silly question time - Assuming I was to endorse the 2 stroke oil option (yes, yes, I know I have previously slagged it off!), is it still OK to use it with a D4 with no harmful effects?

In theory, it has nothing but benefits, the main one being the diesel burns better, leaving less soot particles to block the DPF (if fitted)My D3 Build Thread

I have stopped adding 2 stroke and for some reason the last couple of thousand miles i've been getting an extra 2.3 mpg. No idea why

I didn't put any in mine on my previous fill with Esso fuel and in the recent spell of cold weather it was knocking and tapping like an old tractor, I wondered then whether or not I had started something that I wasn't sure would end well ?
On Friday I brimmed it and added 500ml and quite literally from the first crank it was immediately noticeable how it quietened it down !
My economy has dropped due to stop start journeys and the FBH being on.Only dead fish go with the Flow !

I was averaging 24mpg but since adding 2 stroke i actually managed 32mpg yesterday admittedly i was driving very sedately
But I think it has made a difference to mine
I will keep adding it until I see a post on here saying " My engines gone bang 2 stroke. I`m sure we would`ve heard something by now, I must`ve looked at nearly every forum discussing the use of 2 stroke oil and no down sides other than the extra cost.

Ha! As it happens, I have an unopened bottle of Castrol Actevo sitting in the garage that I bought for a pertol strimmer when I couldn't get proper 2T from the garden centre.
I'll chuck in some next fill up and see the magical resultsIf in doot, flat oot!!
