i just wanted to record a very good experience with Guy Salmon in Thames Ditton, who have completed the first service for the same deal price that DickGriff wrote about earlier. The loan car was a smart HSE with all the extra gadgets. Final price, all including lan car (£10 insurance) was £305, whih I am very happy with. They also provided refreshments for the monkeys (kids), and generally made the experience pleasant and simple. Have to go back for warranty work (front seats cloth, new activator for locking petrol cap, and cruise control intermittent cut out).
However, their loaner automatic HSE (diesel) was very lively, with seemingly more power than mine (manual)??
After the First service the ride is deinitely harder (not so good in my opinion), but the acceleration is vastly improved, with no turbo lag from standing strarts etc, and fuel economy seems the same, or only slightly worse (around 29-30 for 80 miles around M25 today).Don't put it off, go for it!

Hi Dick, there was no hassle over the price which had been arranged by phone in the first place a couple of weeks ago, and they were familiar with the Reading dealership price to quote against.
I wonder if they read this site?
They didnt seem to know the cause of the intermittent cruise control cut out but I recall reading about it somewhere here so I will do a search and take the goods to them so to speak..Don't put it off, go for it!

I too have had my car serviced by Guy Salmon in Thames Ditton recently. They price matched Lancasters in Reading and collected and delivered (washed and polished) the car as promised. A good experience.
