1st 4X4 now on order...
After years of deliberation we have finally ordered our first 4X4 Discovery.
We required a vehicle with 7 seats, robust, that can really go off road (must be the military in me) and handle most road trips & adventures; so the choice was really fairly easy in the end, so Discovery here we come...
Ordered in 'Essex' white, with a few toys.
Delivery should be around November.

Thanx guys.
We've initially ordered an HSE with the Black Pack, Rear Diff & Cubby Box.
Not too sure about the option to have the Meridian 825 surround system - any thoughts would be appreciated.
The biggest debate we had was colour...our last three cars were Byzanz Purple, Sprint Blue & Somoa Orange. So to have a Black or Grey motor was really an none starter for us...I would have had Montalcino Red (seen a physical car with the Black Pack - looked great), but I was told by the family that this was an old man's colour - what are they saying??.
So I was out voted to 4 - 1 for Fuji/Essex White (we do live in Essex...lol).
We'll add the Black Side Tubes, Rear Access Ladder & Mud Flaps.

when it comes, i think they send us for a free 4x4 session. Mind you i can do most things as i learn to drive in my dad's Mitsubishi shogun v6 on his fields back in the 90's. but i think the disco is a more capable car doing most things i would never dream of doing.

Not sure you can use complimentary vouchers at Solihull.
Invitations are currently sent out to purchasers of New and Approved Used vehicles usually within 3 months of taking delivery.

I don't know what's going in here...only part my previous post was 'posted'? & when I then tried to edit it's now on three times & can't remove?? Also warning triangles. Maybe it's my age...
What should have been posted is: after much deliberation, we have settled for Yulong - seen a physical one which looked quite smart. Mind you, colour is a personal thing..
Trip now planned for the Highlands this Xmas/New Year. 8)

We anticipated about 6 months from ordering to delivery Fitzy & we're not in a hurry.
I must say communication is lacking from JLR in some quarters, and some of the sales personnel don't know their product. More audit takers than sales people. JLR is missing plenty of sales overall. Maybe they just don't care...

Only joking, I some how managed to do the same recently.
Although mine was purchased used I found I knew more about mine than the salesman, although he was at least really helpful.
I am sure the time will pass quickly.Andy
