MY 16 fuel tank capacity
With the gauge showing empty I can only get 66 litres into the tank. The manual says the useable capacity is 82 litres, have they reduced the capacity to fit the adblue tank?I'm to old to know everything......

Filled up yesterday with computer saying 5 miles until empty (I like to live dangerously) and it only took just over 73 litres. Defo a smaller tank than the D3.MY15 D4 SDV6 HSE Corris Grey - Gone

72 litres is the most diesel I have ever managed to get into mine, but usually it's around 68.
What mileage remaining do you all find your low fuel warning message comes on? Mine seems to be very late at anywhere between 24-34 miles.
This is currently being looked at by my dealer, their first attempt just seemed to increase the mpg reading, as I got all excited when it started reading 30+ mpg, but now waiting to book it in for them to remove the tank.Andy

My warning light comes on at about 60 miles to go.
Anyone know how far you can get showing empty?
Is this a new challenge for D4 owners?I'm to old to know everything......

My low fuel warning come on the other week at 25 miles left. My D3 used to come on at 50 miles left.
I have also wondered how far can you get when it shows 0 miles, but never tried it..

I complained about this back in March 2013 (D4 Commercial XS) and have never been able to get more than say 70 litres in at a fill.
Nice dealer man up in Cumbria even changed the fuel tank senders (a pig to change in a saddle tank arrangement apparently) but to no avail.
I regularly run to zero and then 50 miles; and yet to run out of fuel "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

grzesiul Below 50%? I can why understand empty might cause issues (with cr&p and sludge?) but 50% seems a bit conservative unless Im misunderstanding your statement?MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Why is there a problem with "(with cr&p and sludge?)" when running low, the pick up point for fuel stays in the same place near the lowest point. It is also a recirculating system so the fuel is being circulated through the filter all the time.
