105k service needed in Surrey/Hampshire area! |
|
Hi
Has any one had a good experience of an Indy doing a 105k service with out donating internal organs?
I have seen vastly differing quotes and priced bounced around on the forum....
Sub £500 would be nice...
Alan Huggs.

Talk to Mark West at West 4x4 at Swanmore - he's good, so he is busy so you will have to book ahead.
Mention this forum.

Alan,
I had an email this week from Lancaster Land Rover in Reading offering to do my belts only for £497. That was only for timing belt and HPFP belt, mind. An "A" Service would be on top of that (little more than an oil and filter change).
Last price I had from West 4x4 for the 105k service was > £700 so don't always assume an indy is going to be cheaper.
As Nigel says, Mark is very good - and many of us Hampshire forum members use him to look after our cars - but shop around. A few phone calls to main dealers may pay off.
Del also recommends Guava in Guildford, which looks a fair bit closer to you: http://www.guavaguildford.co.uk
I very much doubt you will break the sub £500 barrier for a full 105k service with any dealer/indy in the south of England, unfortunately.

Keith Gott in Alton - did mine recently for c. £750, service and belts. Guava were a little dearer but both are highly recommended. I agree with others that you will be hard pushed to better £500 for the service and belts in this area.

IIRC 3 litre @ 112k miles rather than 105k/7years, but still 7 years.
