100w bulb in Foglamp ??

Will the wiring cope with it, or should I go with Osram Night breakers or similar ?
D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Rolling with laughter

Just wanted something a bit brighter now that the spot lamps have gone........upgrade main beam is best option but I dont want to mess with the lamp.

Also would it be right to say main beam = H7 and Fog = H11 ??

You're not one of the fog lamps on all the time brigade are you? Confused There's far too many of them around here, apart from being illegal it's fecking annoying getting dazzled all the time coz somebody thinks it looks cool Sad

Not sure on lamp types, are they in the manual?

Nope, 100w on all the time, I think not - besides my car looks cool anyway, especially without all that fooking ironmongery that some have on to look cool Rolling with laughter and my new mudflaps off a defender....oh that was your idea Thumbs Up

Just fancied bulbs that would match the HID's Shocked and give a bit better light, was on M62 in fog last week and the standard bulbs weren't much good.

Manual is my desk at work Neutral

Nick - IMHO forget the foglights - you'd be better off upgrading the halogen low/high beam bulb (55w H7) with either the Philips X-Treme Power or Osram Nightbreakers - both around £25 pair.

100 What!

With that sort of power you can disperse the fog ! No seriously the brighter the light, the more clearly you can see.......

the fog. It's unlikely that very bright white lights will help you see objects more clearly, everything just gets scattered off water droplets and comes back as an homogenous mess. The higher the light energy the bluer the light which has a higher frequency which gets scattered even more.

The best light to see through fog is low energy, low frequency, red or better still infra-red, but thats invisible to us. Adding eye sensitivity to the equation the best light is probably orange. There's a good chance it will actually penetrate through the fog and come back from an object letting you see things.

In a real pee super you might see more objects driving on the side lights rather than 100 wart hello gents especially Xenons which have a bluer light (the discharge ones even more so).

What you really need are Laser Cannons,
