Did you fill the new filter with fuel before fitting it? Try that and then bleed it again. 2015 Discovery 4 HSE Corris with Blackpack

Its a self prime system so it should be ok make sure that the fuel filter bowl is seated correctly and that no air being drawn in. try leaving the bleed valve open and crank the engine a couple of times.

Double check all the pipes are on the right connection. Istr it's easy to mix them up.

Bleed upto the bleed valve back of engine. no need to crank over as the electric pump will pump it up to that point, then replace the cap, Then with a 17mm spanner crack of one of the common rail injector pipes, crank over and you will find it will come to life. Also make sure you got a good cranking speed. Did my filter the other day and had same problem.
Hope this might help

Unnecessary quote removed
thanks for your replies got it started by taking filter back off filling it up with diesel reconnected pipes they were on the right way round, still wound not start so took air pipe off front of engine and cranked engine over while spraying easy start into air pipe after 2 minutes she fired up and all was well

I changed mine the other day and to my enormous relief the 2007 has the easier to fit filter. Self primed started in seconds, no issues.
I had visions of the Mondeo ST TDCI fuel filter again, which looks the same as the 2005 D3 one. In the end that was a call out job after not being able to start, spraying that quick start, towing up the road, round the block, bleeding the injectors - about 2 hours worth until finally they got it started. Never did that again!!!!!
Glad you got yours sorted without all that aggravation. Tip: unlike me, do pay attention to the topping those up with fuel before fitting if that’s recommended. 2007 Discovery 3 HSE Lugano Teal

I made the mistake of not priming mine the first time and it took a lot of turning over before it started.
I have replaced it several times now and just turn the ignition on for thirty seconds three times and never had a problem.
